Plug: Rococo Film Night - 20th August 2008 at 9pm

On the 20th August, Rococco on St Mary’s Street (where the Toucan used to be) will host a night of local independent films. Quailty short films as well as local music videos will be played on the venue’s three large widescreen TV’s with an excellent sound system and relaxed vibe, between breaks of music and socializing. Entry is FREE and due to the expected student draw drinks offers will be available – so even if you're not into film the night will be enjoyable.

The night is the second of a possible monthly event, so of course, if you yourself are a filmmaker come along and see if you’d want to submit your work for future nights!

Last night at Chapter MovieMaker: August alumni

The films that follow screened in Screen 1 the night before this one:

- Inscape directed by Ben Pinnow;
- Is Elvis There? directed by Neil Bebber;
- A 'Smoking Monkey' trailer and an untitled Commando / a-ha mashup from John Gough and Gavin Williams;
- Ryan Owen's music video for You! Me! Dancing! by Los Campesinos!;
- How To Scare A Ghost by Twm and Col of DotCom Films.

It was a great mix of flicks for an excellent audience. And that'll be our last event for a while - we're taking a break until the autumn while Chapter gets renovated. If you'd like an email notifying you of our return, contact me via chaptermoviemaker*at*hotmail.com and I'll make sure you're on the mailing list.
