Screening: Monday 3rd December 2007

At 6:30pm in Chapter Screen 2 we'll be showing shorts and talking about them. Free tickets are available at the box office. If you have something you'd like to show us, put it on DVD or Mini-DV and bring it along!

Plug: MA Moving Image @ University of Glamorgan


The MA is designed to provide postgraduate study for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds: new graduates who wish to develop a distinctive practice in order to succeed in a highly competitive industry; those in media industries who would like to use their extensive experience to expand the scope of their professional practice; and those from a visual arts background who wish to incorporate time-based media into their practice.

The aim of the course is to provide a strong critical and interdisciplinary context in which experimentation and innovation is
encouraged in different approaches to moving image production, from television drama to experimental film and site specific video art.

Course content
You will study the following modules:
* Research Methods 1
* Experimental Practices
* Pilot Project
* Production
* Histories and Theories of the Moving Image 1& 2

How you will study
The course is delivered through taught modules. Students will spend eight hours a week in lectures, seminars and workshops. These taught sessions will provide students with the necessary practical and theoretical skills to complete their practical and written coursework.
